Raffles Education Consultants Pte Ltd is set up to assist parents who would like to send their children to live and study outside their own country. It would be an enormously enriching experience for students to pursue their hierarchical education in a globalised city like modern, vibrant and multicultural Singapore. They may complete their entire primary, secondary and tertiary education in Singapore, and further use it as a base to prepare for admission to schools, colleges and universities in popular destinations like USA, the UK, Canada and Australia. The medium of instruction in government and most international schools is English, and every student is given the opportunity to become bilingual.
The founders of the company have a first-hand knowledge of the education system in Singapore, and are also very experienced in the world of education. They are well-prepared to assist parents who aspire their children to be exposed to an international environment in the belief that this would enhance their career and fulfill their ambitions in life.
Raffles Education Consultants Pte Ltd also operates a subsidiary, Chengdu Raffles Education Consultants Pte Ltd which liaises with our clients in China.
Alicia Lee
Director
Ms Alicia Lee is a Chengdu native who has a Master’s degree in Knowledge Management from Nanyang Technological University. She is impressed by the progress of her son who attends an international school. He is really developing himself as a confident bilingual student.
Alicia is well qualified to respond to the queries of parents and guide their children to fulfil their educational goals. She can be relied upon to provide an impeccable standard of service to parents. She has benefited from her rich experience in providing professional consultancy and training to international clients, individual customers and youth in various companies such as CME Group/USA, Avon Product Corporation/USA, Summit Experiential Training and Taiping Insurance for over a decade.
Derrick Tan
Partner
Mr Derrick Tan, born and raised in Singapore, has received a Master degree in International Education from the University of Sydney. He established MerlionKids, a group of kindergartens in Singapore and China in 2007. With his commitment and dedication to his profession, he was invited to speak about early years education in 2014 as a special guest in a program, Influential Dialogue, hosted by China Central Television (CCTV) in Beijing.
Mr Tan is a professionally qualified England&Wales Chartered Accountant, and registered as a Chartered Accountant in Singapore. After practicing and lecturing in accountancy, he decided to switch his interest to education with confidence to manage business in education. He is a strong believer in early years education and he is convinced that early study habits play an important role in determining the cognitive abilities and the affective skills of any student.
John Abraham
Education Advisor
Mr John Abraham is a British trained teacher and College counsellor. He has a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Lancaster in the UK. He was a teacher and College counsellor at the United World College of South East Asia in Singapore for 28 years. Now he teaches English and continues to advise students seeking admission to schools and universities in Singapore and overseas.
